2023 Volunteer Awards

The 2023 Volunteer Awards were presented at the Darden Annual Meeting, a memorable event that celebrated the remarkable achievements of our dedicated volunteers and the illustrious alumni classes of Darden.

Next Generation Alumni Award

  • Recipient: Betsy Moszeter (EMBA ’11)
  • Achievements: Moszeter has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing engagement among Darden’s more recent alumni. She has been a longtime leader of the Colorado chapter and a volunteer for Women@Darden. Additionally, Moszeter is a loyal donor to the Darden Society and Hickory Club and an active member of the Alumni Board.

Outstanding Class Engagement Leadership Award

  • Recipient: Tom Taylor (MBA ’85)
  • Contributions: Taylor has exemplified exceptional class leadership by working diligently as the class secretary, maintaining robust class notes and keeping his classmates connected. His dedication extends beyond his role, including coordinating a bench dedication in memory of classmate Mark Kaish (MBA ’85).

Outstanding Reunion Committee Leadership Award

  • Recipient: Class of 1993 Reunion Committee
  • Accomplishments: This committee has shown remarkable effort in organizing a memorable reunion experience. They have achieved significant milestones, including naming the Class of 1993 Garden and Sloney’s Porch at The Forum Hotel. Additionally, they launched the Class of 1993 Community Fund, supporting events and programming that unite the Darden community.

Philanthropic Innovators Award

  • Recipients: Liz Brower, Reg Jones and Louise Rios (MBA ’11)
  • Impact: These individuals have played a pivotal role in elevating their class’s philanthropic efforts. Their leadership led to 45% giving participation from their class and the successful orchestration of a Day for Darden, where 88 classmates contributed to the annual fund.
